1) We Must Stop The "Net Zero" Path To Economic Ruin
For those who don’t follow the left’s lingo, Net Zero is a new plan to move America to zero fossil fuel use and production by 2050. No oil. No gas. No coal. They also hate nuclear power and hydropower.
This is a diabolical scheme to destroy 70% of America’s energy and to forever deindustrialize the United States. We call it Fred Flintstone economics – as it would force the nation to rely on pre-industrial age energy sources. This plan of self-inflicted energy starvation would lead inevitably to food starvation and material deprivation.
Is anyone up for living life in the Middle Ages?
We’ve often lampooned the idiocy of the idea, but yesterday we got a chill down our neck when we read this Treasury Department advisory:
These people are as serious as a heart attack. The objective of the meeting was "supporting the implementation of net-zero commitments by financial institutions and facilitating the transition to a clean energy economy."
CTUP has launched a new major project "No to Net Zero" to ensure that these first steps to Net Zero are NOT implemented. We will expose the financial institutions that have bought into this anti-America plot. This is an anti-Bud Light campaign times ten. Any Fortune 500 company that buys into this war against American prosperity needs to be identified, shamed, and, if that doesn’t work, boycotted.
We intend to use the same tactics that we have used to move financial institutions away from the ESG craze.
“We [Democrats] need a message to working-class Americans. Right now, they’re still hurting in terms of gas prices, food prices, housing costs, utilities costs, and they don’t feel like their wages are going up fast enough…”
Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), a member of Biden’s national advisory board who was in Wayne, Mich., and Toledo, Ohio, on Monday with UAW members.
This piece by Steve Moore in today's New York Post is an argument all Republicans should be making. Joe Biden has flattened union workers with his inflationary spending policies.
3) Even Biden's Own Green Team Admits EVs Are "Not Sustainable"
When even Biden's own climate change zealots admit that EVs won't work to stop global warming, you know you have another green policy flop coming. Here is an unusually forthright statement from Jigar Shah, the Department of Energy bureaucrat working with political boss John Podesta to dole out $300 billion in loan guarantees for green energy projects:
The Biden administration is conceding that we can't replace all the 250 million internal-combustion vehicles in America with EVs — even if Americans wanted to buy them — which they don't.
So much for the Net Zero fantasy.
And so much for the fantastical claim by the Biden Admin. and CBO that the $300 billion in green energy loan guarantees will result in no losses for taxpayers.
4) Just In Time For 2024: More Election Shenanigans In Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania was a hotspot of chaos and chicanery during the 2020 presidential election. Allies of Donald Trump exaggerated some of the problems but they were right to cry foul when Pennsylvania’s liberal Supreme Court reversed long-standing voter integrity procedures and allowed ballots to be counted if they were received up to three days after Election Day.
Ballots without a postmark would "be presumed to have been mailed by Election Day" unless there was strong evidence to the contrary. There was also the shocking revelation that tens of thousands of non-citizens had been added to Pennsylvania’s voter rolls due to mistakes by the state’s driver's license agency. Pedro Cortes, the sitting Secretary of State, was forced to resign over the issue.
Rather than clean up the state’s voter rolls, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro made things worse this week by issuing an executive order imposing the scam of “automatic voter registration” (AVR) statewide. Customers at the same DMV offices that added non-citizens to voter rolls in prior years will be automatically added now unless they refuse to be included.
Pennsylvania joins almost two dozen states — almost all of them Blue — that have automatic registration. People are automatically added to the rolls whenever they have contact with certain state agencies, including unemployment offices and welfare agencies. Sign up for food stamps and the government gives you a ballot
Given the election mishaps in 2020 in Pennsylvania, we would have hoped Governor Shapiro would advance protections to ensure a squeaky-clean election process next year. Instead, PA Dems are doubling down on voting procedures that invite mischief and fraud.
"People have more money now because of the first major piece of legislation I passed... But what happens if there's nothing to buy and you got more money? You compete for getting it there. It creates a real problem."
