It’s National Voter Registration Day, and in true, pro-Democracy fashion, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro has announced that his administration is making it easier to vote by enacting statewide automatic voter registration -- effective today.
This is a direct slap at Donald Trump, who took Pennsylvania to court (unsuccessfully) in 2020 for making it easier for people to vote during COVID. Now it's etched in law.
Some critical pro-democracy champions in PA won by slim margins last election -- they and others now are being targeted by extremists in the next election.
