Imagine you are a manatee floating peacefully along in Florida’s Gulf Coast
waters. You’re a gentle giant -- your species is known for your calm and
friendly demeanor, and you mostly spend your days drifting with the current and
grazing the seagrass. But today, you’re feeling especially lazy and weak because
you’re malnourished. It’s been a while since you’ve had a full meal. If you don’t find more seagrass to feed on soon, you will likely DIE OF STARVATION like several of your kind have done recently…

Sadly, this is the reality for far too many manatees over the past few years.
These beloved animals are rapidly dying out in large part due to the devastating loss of seagrass, a vital food source for manatees.

In fact, manatees are reaching unprecedented record-breaking death tolls -- with
nearly 2,000 manatees DEAD over the past two years alone. Last year, 261 of these gentle giants were wiped out in a single period of just a few weeks.

But where has all the seagrass gone, Friend? You guessed it -- corporate greed. The cruise industry is one of the corporate giants wreaking havoc on sensitive
manatee habitats in the Florida waters, recklessly (and sometimes illegally)
dumping massive amounts of TOXIC WASTE and HARMFUL POLLUTANTS into the ocean, causing irreparable damage to seagrass beds.

Without seagrass, manatees cannot survive. These harmless creatures are counting on us to be their voice, so we’re calling
on 1,874 activists like you to help us stand up to Big Cruise. Please, Friend, don’t let manatees disappear forever.
Add your name right now to speak up for these gentle giants before our 11:59
P.M. petition deadline >>

[[link removed]]Not only is seagrass essential to manatee survival, it’s also important
vegetation for our ecosystems. Seagrass helps promote healthy coastal
communities and the planet by storing almost ⅕ of the world’s ocean carbon.

Yet, despite the environmental significance of this critical marine plant,
profit-driven cruise companies continue to increase ship traffic, size, and
volume while carelessly churning up toxic wastewater, sand, and other contaminants into Florida’s waters -- compromising water quality and damaging marine habitats.

Friend, there’s still a chance to restore seagrass beds
and save the manatee population if we can generate enough public pressure on the
Environmental Protection Agency to STOP Big Cruise’s dangerous ocean pollution. Your voice is critical in this fight. Will you sign our urgent petition right
now to defend our oceans and our manatees from corporate greed? SIGN NOW >>
