LULAC SAYS MAKE NATIONAL VOTER REGISTRATION DAY OUR RENEWED COMMITMENT AS WE GEAR
UP FOR THE 2024 ELECTIONS
=================================================================================

Nation's Oldest and Largest Latino Civil Rights Organization Says Organize,
Mobilize and Get-Out-The-Vote Is Our Top Priority

Washington, DC - LULAC proudly announces its steadfast commitment to making
National Voter Registration Day a pivotal moment as we prepare for the 2024
elections. In the face of ongoing efforts to suppress the Latino vote and deny
our community its civil rights, LULAC is resolute in empowering Latinos across
the United States and Puerto Rico to exercise their fundamental right to vote.

"LULAC is determined and already in action across the United States and Puerto
Rico to make this the greatest Latino voter registration ramp-up in our history,"
says Domingo Garcia, LULAC national president. "No one should doubt the
determination and the energy running within millions of Latinos as we see the
attacks to suppress our votes and deny us our civil rights. We are a vital part
of the future of our country, and the vote is our weapon of empowerment," he
says.

With National Voter Registration Day on the horizon, LULAC calls upon Latinos and
allies to organize, mobilize, and engage in a concerted effort to ensure that
every eligible voter in our community is registered and prepared to participate
in the upcoming elections. The Latino vote can be a game-changer, and LULAC is
committed to realizing that potential.

Lydia Guzman, Arizona LULAC state director, remarked, "The future for Latinos
will be determined by our access to the seats of power and policymakers. Here in
Arizona, the recent federal court victories are igniting a new sense of 'we can
do this,' as we have before. Arizona LULAC is leading the way as other crucial
community coalitions."

The Latino community's political influence is rising, and LULAC is dedicated to
harnessing this momentum. Eliseo Santana Jr., Florida LULAC state director,
expressed, "Voter interest in our state is at the highest level ever as we see
how critical every vote is. We must strongly message that Latinos are present and
will be counted through the ballots they cast."

National Voter Registration Day, observed on the fourth Tuesday of September each
year, serves as a reminder of the importance of civic participation. It is an
opportunity for all Americans to register to vote, update their registration
information, and commit to exercising their right to vote. LULAC encourages every
eligible voter to seize this moment to become part of the democratic process.

LULAC chapters nationwide are planning events, including voter registration
drives, educational forums, and community outreach initiatives. The organization
is also working tirelessly to combat voter suppression efforts and advocate for
policies that protect and expand access to the ballot box for all Americans. As
we approach the 2024 elections, LULAC invites everyone to stand with us in
solidarity and unity. Together, we can make history by ensuring that the voices
of Latinos are heard and their votes are counted.
