There's no fall off in great Glacier Conservancy events this autumn! Join us for Glacier Book Club later this week featuring a conversation with with author/journalist Rob Chaney about his book The Grizzly in the Driveway. It's sure to be a fun one!

In October, Glacier Conversations returns featuring a really exciting lineup of Glacier National Park staff experts. We'll have park biologists join to talk about a harlequin duck study, fisheries managers to talk about the next steps in conserving native trout, and the team behind the award-winning Headwaters podcast to discuss the next season!

The Grizzly in the Driveway
with author Robert Chaney

Wednesday, September 20
6:30PM MDT

Mixing fast-paced storytelling with rich details about the hidden lives of grizzly bears, Montana journalist Robert Chaney chronicles the resurgence of this charismatic species against the backdrop of the country’s long history with the bear. Chaney captures the clash between groups with radically different visions: ranchers frustrated at losing livestock, environmental advocates, hunters, and conservation and historic preservation officers of tribal nations. Underneath, he probes the balance between our demands on nature and our tolerance for risk.
