But here's the bigger insult: they demand that we, the unsuspecting public, pay for the privilege of being misled through a hidden charge known as the "Fox Fee."
What exactly is this Fox Fee? It’s a hefty premium that Fox News audaciously charges major cable providers to air their content. And where do these providers turn to recoup that expense? Directly to us, the consumers.
This is a brazen act of making us complicit in funding a platform that is poisoning our democratic discourse.
It’s time to send a clear message: we will not foot the bill to undermine American democracy. Tell cable providers to say NO to the Fox Fee.
The disturbing reality is that even if one has never once turned to Fox News, by just subscribing to a major cable provider, they are inadvertently lining the pockets of a network notorious for its divisive rhetoric and false reporting.
Cable giants like Xfinity/Comcast, Spectrum/Charter, and Cox Communications need to understand that their tacit support of Fox News, by passing the Fox Fee onto consumers, is not just a commercial misstep -- it's a grave moral error.
In a world brimming with content choices, why tether ourselves to platforms that make us unwitting patrons of disinformation? The cable providers must know loud and clear that consumers will transition to streaming platforms that empower us with choice, letting us decide where our money goes.
The Fox Fee is not just an economic concern, it's a battle for the very soul of our democratic values.
