I raised my kids right here in District G. This is our home, where we celebrated birthdays, had weekend barbecues, and watched our children play in the front yard. But lately, I've been deeply concerned. Our streets, where our kids used to play without a second thought, are too often overshadowed by violent crime. And what's even more alarming? The very system that should be protecting us is letting repeat offenders back out, time and time again.

I've heard your concerns, and I share them. Every time a repeat offender is released, it's a slap in the face to victims and threatens our community's safety. This isn't just a statistic; it's about our children's ability to play carefree in our parks, our seniors' right to feel safe on evening walks, and every family's right to peace of mind in their own homes. Sadly, District G endures some of the worst crime in Houston. These persistent threats erode our sense of community.

As your City Council representative, I pledge to make public safety my highest priority. We need a system that prioritizes the safety of law-abiding citizens over the rights of repeat criminals. We need stronger collaboration between our police, all first responders, the courts, and community leaders to ensure that those who repeatedly harm our community face enduring consequences.

Our families deserve streets free from the shadow of crime. Join me in this fight. Together, we can reclaim our city and ensure a brighter, safer future for all Houstonians.

Not backing down,

Tony Buzbee

P.S. Strong public safety means locking away repeat criminals and giving our families the peace they deserve. Let's make it happen.
