It pains me to say this, but even after I reached out we are still $2,933 short of our public quarterly goal just 3 days away.

I’m a Congressman but I’m also a doctor.

There are 535 members of Congress and only 3 of us are Democratic doctors. That is just a minuscule .0056%.

Republicans repeatedly make wildly inaccurate medical claims to rip away access to health care or undermine a woman’s right to choose.

That’s when my voice in Congress is needed the most.

But without your donations, I will lose and be replaced by a Republican who will prioritize big dollar donors over the health of every American.

I know it can feel like you are being asked for money from every which way.

But being just 1 of 3 Democratic doctors in Congress, and the only Latino doctor in Congress, I hope this request stands out from the rest.

I became a doctor to help people. I ran for office because I knew that experience makes me uniquely qualified to help people as a Congressman.
