Patriot, Last week, we alerted you that a U.S. House subcommittee was holding a hearing on legislation that would stop the Federal Reserve from creating or even exploring a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) without proper congressional authority. The great news: those bills are moving forward tomorrow, with a “markup” hearing by the full House Financial Services Committee! These are hearings for proposed amendments that are usually followed by a vote to report the bill from committee. The bills are: • H.R. 3402, the “Power of the Mint Act,” which would expressly prohibit the Fed
from issuing a CBDC without congressional authorization;
• H.R. 3712, the “Digital Dollar Prevention Act,” which would prohibit the Fed from even testing a program to launch a CBDC, including partnering or coordinating with a private entity to carry out a test program; • H.R. 5403, the “CBDC Anti-Surveillance State Act,” which would ban the Fed from issuing a CBDC “or any digital asset that is substantially similar under any other name or label.” This is the biggest forward momentum we’ve seen yet to stop the out-of-control Fed from implementing the CBDC. Let’s keep it going – send a quick e-postcard to your Representative in Congress demanding they support these bills to BAN the CBDC! Things are looking better but make no mistake: the forces of tyranny are mobilizing, too. At the very same hearing last week, Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-MA) introduced a new CBDC scheme, something he calls the “ECASH Act,” which would create a new pilot program for a Central Bank Digital Currency. Lynch even invited his colleagues to start a new Digital Dollar Caucus in Congress. And while the subcommittee chairman shot the caucus idea down, remember both chambers of Congress have held hearings on the Digital Dollar in the past. Right now, Congress needs to hear from We, the People: STOP the CBDC! After you take one moment to sign your e-postcard, please be sure to pass this email along to others you know, because the more postcards we deliver, the more powerful our message will be. If we keep the momentum going, these bills could get a floor vote in the House – and put every one of them on record on this critical issue. And if you can, please make a generous contribution to Campaign for Liberty, so we can apply as much pressure as possible. The globalists are going all-out to control everything we do. We’ve seen in Canada how the government will use every means possible, including financial control, to attack peaceful protesters. We’ve seen China establish a “digital currency” to further repress and control its own population under the Communist Party. We cannot let that happen here. They need to hear from their constituents back home to know the voters are demanding action in opposition. So please take just 30 seconds to sign your e-postcard and get your friends to do the same! After you sign, please consider a donation so Campaign for Liberty can continue to spread the word about the evils of a CBDC. For Liberty, John McCardell Executive Director Campaign for Liberty P.S. This is a major battle, and it’s one that we can win if we can push this bill to the House floor. But that will only happen with you making your voice heard. It’s thanks to you these bills even exist. Now, let’s keep them going. Take just 30 seconds and sign your e-postcard and get your friends to do the same! And if you can, please support Campaign for Liberty financially to help raise awareness and increase the pressure on this issue. Whether you can give $100, $200, even $500 today, or if you can chip in $25 or even $10, every bit makes the difference. If you’d prefer to donate via PayPal, please click here.
