Hi John,
I’m Tammy Duckworth, Senator from Illinois. My friend Lauren asked me to send you an email before the quarter winds down, so here I am.
In a moment, I will ask you to split a donation between our campaigns to keep Illinois and IL-14 blue, but if you have some time to read on, I want to share why I’m asking.
Lauren and I may be in different chambers of Congress, but we have a lot in common. I’ll share a few examples:
We each took on and defeated Republican incumbents because folks like you supported and elected us to represent Illinois and we’ve both been named some of the most effective Democrats in Washington.
Together, we passed the Protecting Moms Who Served Act, and joined President Biden to see our bill signed into law as part of our work to end our nation’s maternal mortality crisis, which disproportionately affects women of color.
We also teamed up to introduce legislation in the House and the Senate to ensure FEMA better supports parents and babies in the midst and aftermath of climate disasters.
These are just a few of the many shared values that unify us and keep us striving for the working families of Illinois and across the country.
I’m lucky to have Lauren’s powerful voice in Congress and look forward to continuing working with her, but we can’t keep up this teamwork without grassroots support.
It would mean so much to know you are with us as we work to reclaim the House and defend our Senate majority. So I’m asking:
John, will you split a contribution between Lauren and me? At the end of the month, we have a very important FEC fundraising deadline and we count on folks like you chipping in what you can to help hit our goals.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your split donation to Tammy Duckworth and Lauren Underwood will go through immediately:
Thank you in advance for chipping in. It all adds up when we all do our part.
Tammy Duckworth
