John, Join us on September 28th to demand cleaner cars for your neighborhood and communities!

Speak up for more fuel efficient vehicles.»

John,

On day one of his presidency, President Biden and his administration promised bold action to reverse the previous administration’s rollback of vehicle emissions and fuel economy standards for passenger cars and trucks. The administration also promised to set longer term standards that would continue to clean up and improve the fuel economy of the fleet.

As we continue the transition to electric vehicles, it’s more important than ever to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels from all angles. Gas powered vehicles are beginning their decline, so we need to make sure new cars hitting the road are the most efficient they can possibly be.

More fuel efficient vehicles will lower costs for drivers at the pump, will reduce air pollution from tailpipe emissions, and will lower our reliance on gasoline as we transition to clean energy. Help us hold the Biden Administration accountable for this promise by demanding cleaner cars and trucks now.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has proposed new federal Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards for vehicles sold in model year 2027 and beyond. The new standards are designed to improve fuel economy for new cars sold in the United States.

NHTSA will hold one virtual public hearing during the public comment period on September 28. The agency will announce the specific date and web address for the hearing in a supplemental Federal Register notice. The hearing will start at 9AM ET and continue until everyone has had a chance to speak.

If you’ve never spoken at a hearing or don’t know where to start, I am here to help! Email me at [email protected] for help writing testimonies or with questions on this hearing.
