By voting for President Biden in the 2020 election, every single one of us helped dodge a second Trump term and saved one branch of government from the harmful rhetoric and dangerous policies of the MAGA movement.  

 

But if the last three years have shown us anything, it’s that the White House isn’t enough. 

 

Trump enablers, corporate-backed candidates, and morally bankrupt opportunists control the House and prevent the Democratic majority in the Senate from passing any bill that supports working families like ours, rather than just their big-dollar donors.

 

President Biden needs a Congress that can execute his agenda, and to make it happen, we have to elect more people like us. 

 

Single parents like me.

 

Working-class Americans.

 

Everyday people who know the struggles we face on the ground, who have fought long and hard to take care of their families and themselves, to make ends meet and keep a roof over their head – even if it means working multiple jobs and still just getting by.

 

That’s why I’m running for Congress, and why your support means so much. I’m a single dad raising two sons here in Idaho, and Republicans like my opponent Mike Simpson have done nothing to make it easier.

 

We need a Congress filled with Democrats who support President Biden AND US, a Congress that believes everyone should have a chance at the American dream – not one controlled by Republicans who won’t hesitate to erase it.

If Biden loses in 2024, a Democratic majority in Congress will be even MORE important. 

 

The past three years have also shown us that the Supreme Court, like Congress, is bought by the special interests behind the MAGA movement. If we fail to secure Congress and if Trump or another Republican takes the White House, there’s no telling how much worse our country will be with those forces controlling every branch of government.

 

I’m not a wealthy guy, John, and I have no dreams of becoming one. I’m going to Congress to make change for families like mine, not pocket it to help myself.

 

Flipping ID-02 next year is how we can do our part to take back  the House of Representatives for Democrats and pave the path to a better future for Americans like you and me. Can you help make it possible today with a contribution to send me to Congress, and send Mike Simpson home?

 

A future where everyone can put food on the table, afford their medications, and send their kids to college is not out of reach – not yet. It’s campaigns like ours that will decide how much closer we can get to that future before my kids go to college.
