Hey John,
Happy National Voter Registration Day! This special day was created to celebrate the democratic process and encourage more people to practice their civic duty.
One of my favorite political jobs I’ve ever had was registering voters for the 2008 election on college campuses and at music festivals with New Era Colorado, a youth civic engagement organization. Empowering young people of all backgrounds to realize their power helped us accomplish huge changes in our state, and the first step was registering them to vote.
Today is a day of action to continue that important work in every community.
In honor of today, here are three different ways we hope you’ll join us in celebrating:
1. Check your voter registration!
Whether you vote in every election or the next one will be your first, now is a great time to make sure your voter registration is all up to date or to register for the first time! Click here to check your voter registration status. [[link removed]]
2. Help us register more voters!
Registering new voters is one of our most important responsibilities as a state party. Help us do this by donating $15, $30 or $45 to register one, two, and three new voters. [[link removed]]
3. Sign up to volunteer with the CO Democratic Party!
Are you interested in checking in with voters and helping to get out the vote this fall? Sign up to volunteer to knock on doors, make phone calls, write postcards, and more. [[link removed]]
Scroll down for more on the importance of engaging folks and how you can help us register new Colorado voters.
Thank you,
Shad Murib, CDP Chair

Hi John,
As a state party, one of our most important responsibilities is building a strong grassroots organization that supports Democrats across the state up and down the ballot.
That can mean a lot of things. From training organizers and volunteers to recruiting candidates to run for office to activating and turning Democrats out to vote all across the state, there’s a lot to do to make sure Democrats have the opportunity to deliver big results for Coloradans.
One of our most important tasks is registering new voters. In fact, it costs an average of $15 to register just one new voter. [[link removed]]
With so many competitive races in Colorado next year, the difference between a Democratic or Republican victory could hinge between literally a few hundred votes – Lauren Boebert only won her 2022 race by 546 votes! We need to make sure we register as many new voters as we can.
Would you chip in $15 today to register one voter, $30 to register two voters, or $45 to register three new voters? [[link removed]]
You’re integral to the work we do here, John, and we couldn’t do this without you.
Thank you,
Colorado Democratic Party
