John: on Saturday, I got to catch a game on the field where it all started.
When I joined the football team at Baylor, I had no idea that I'd be running for Senate one day. But standing here again, I realized something: Football and politics are not so different.
On that field, I learned how to see the bigger picture. I learned that, if my teammates and I combined our strengths and lifted each other up, we could accomplish so much more than what I could do alone.
That's why, in Congress, I treat Texas as my team. No single person makes Texas a great state. It takes a whole bunch of Texans from every walk of life, every race and religion, working together to build a better future for our children.
But John, Ted Cruz is a one-man team. When he cheered on the mob on Jan. 6 or ran off to Cancún while Texans faced a deadly winter storm, he had nothing on his mind but his own personal gain. Now it's up to this team to hold him accountable – and we can't do it without you.
So please: Will you pitch in $5 to power our grassroots team to victory? Every dollar brings us one step closer to kicking Ted Cruz out of office and building a better Texas for us all →

I'm so grateful to have you with me every step of the way.
