In honor of National Voter Registration Day, we're reaching out to remind the Movement Labs community to check their voter registration. There are several reasons your status may have changed since you last visited a ballot box:

🏡 Moving to a New Address: If you've relocated in the last year or two, don't forget to update your voter registration to your current address. This ensures you're voting in the right district, and on the issues that are pertinent to your community. If you vote by mail, updating your voter registration is critical to ensuring you get to participate in democracy.

⚖️ Legal Changes: If your name has changed through marriage, divorce, or a simple name change – make sure your voter registration reflects your current legal name. Other legal status changes that can impact your registration include citizenship status and, in some states, criminal records.

⏸️ Inactivity: If you haven't voted in a while, you may have been 'purged' from the voter rolls. Many states remove inactive voters from their roll, so double-check your standing.

🎂 Age Eligibility: If you've turned 18 since the last election, you can now register to vote! The decisions made now will impact you for decades to come — and with Gen Z wildly underrepresented in Congress, state, and local governments, it's doubly important to make your voice heard at the ballot box!
