John,

As a busy month comes to a close, I'm stopping for a moment to reflect on 2020: Where we've been and what we have to look forward to.

In just the last 30 days here are some of the things I've focused on:

• Suing the Trump administration to prevent implementation of an arbitrary rule that would restrict abortion access;
• Getting the word out about our efforts to combat hate crimes;
• Demanding that the EPA do more to protect our drinking water from poisons like lead;
• Testifying in our state Capitol on housing discrimination, safe gun storage, banning online vape sales, and requiring accountability from student loan servicers.

It's a real honor to be able to work for Oregonians every day, John, whether to push for laws that will empower and protect the most vulnerable or to stand up to those who threaten our constitution and basic rights. This is why I got into law in the first place!

The work I do as Oregon's Attorney General is deeply rewarding, and it means the world to me to have you on our team. To continue to make progress, we all need to stand together.
