As November approaches, there will be many ways for you to get involved and help keep this seat blue: recruiting friends, phone banking, canvassing, posting on social media, and more.
But at this early stage, the best way to help our campaign is to donate, even if it is just $2. Here’s why:
To start strong, we need to build basic infrastructure: hire staff, set up our headquarters and satellite locations, purchase media buys, and restock basic items like clipboards, printer paper, and yard signs. As members of Jahana’s campaign team, we can tell you first-hand that these costs add up quickly.
When the viability of a campaign is determined, it is not just based on fundraising totals, but also the total number of donors. That means even a $2, $5, or $10 donation can send a strong message of support, especially at a critical monthly deadline like this one.
Jahana has no illusions about what we are up against. She is already on the GOP’s radar as an opportunity to flip from blue to red because CT-05 is a 50/50 split district with some ruby-red areas. And we already have FOUR GOP challengers with virtually identical platforms –aggressively attacking Jahana every day with partisan rhetoric. The more funds we raise now, the more capable we are to combat them all early.
The BEST thing you can do to help Jahana is to give now, to help us fund the infrastructure we need to protect this seat.
