Many legislators use this to pass other legislation and right now, our opponents are working overtime to ensure the EATS Act is included. But they won’t stop there, because if they can’t succeed in adding it to the Farm Bill as is, they’ll still try to modify the EATS Act to include it in the Farm Bill or attempt to add it to another legislative package. The bottom line is, they are determined to remove hard-won protections for animals, so we have to be even more steadfast in our fight to protect them.
