I spoke at the Young Democrats of North Carolina's People over Guns Rally this past weekend in Raleigh because we've let senseless gun violence go on for far too long.

Our children live in fear of going to school. Our college students feel unsafe on campus. And each and every day, we lose sons, daughters, parents, and friends.
Enough is enough.
While I’m fighting for common-sense gun reform, my Republican colleagues are focused on all of the wrong things. They choose to amplify issues that gain media attention, appeal to their far-right fan base, and bring in money to their re-election campaigns over keeping their constituents safe.
My race will be one of the biggest toss-ups of 2024, and we simply cannot risk losing this seat to one of those Republicans. I have and always will be clear with where I stand: we must enact common-sense gun reform, and we must keep our communities safe.
