Dear Defender of Wildlife,
We never thought they would go this far.
The Trump administration is ramping up its assault on our natural world by shattering the backbone of our country's environmental protections: The National Environmental Policy Act (or NEPA).
They're not just trying to greenlight reckless projects without considering the damage to our environment – they're making it so that agencies won't even have to tell the public.
Don't let them get away with betraying the environment and the American public - Tell the administration to abandon this attack now!
For fifty years, NEPA has ensured that federal projects, like highways and land management, consider the importance of a healthy environment to the well-being of communities and our economy.
Under the new proposed rules, agencies are encouraged to ignore important issues (like climate change), cut the public out of the input process, and let developers decide the environmental impact of projects for themselves.
That's bad news for communities nationwide – and it's a catastrophe for vulnerable wildlife that will suffer “death by a thousand cuts” as their habitats are chipped away.
STAND UP: Don't let this administration undermine our core environmental protections for industry profits!
These proposals are designed to cause an explosion of the wrong kinds of development in the wrong places, at the cost of our natural world and the health of present and future generations.
Our future matters more than profits for industry giants and their corrupt friends in Trump's reckless administration. Tell them right now that you won't let them ruin our natural world for their own interests!
We need to send a message that Americans won't stand for this brutal assault on NEPA and our most critical environmental protections. The health of our wildlife, our wild places and our communities is at stake!
Please take a moment to join the growing national outcry against this betrayal of the American public!
Thank you for joining us in standing up for wildlife and our wild world.
Sincerely,
 |
