Should the U.S. BAN 4 harmful food additives?

Momentum is on our side, friend.
A bill in California BANNING four of the most toxic food additives in the country has cleared the state Senate and is headed to the governor's desk for his signature.
Two of the chemicals included in the bill are:
* Potassium bromate, found in 130 products nationwide, including breads and store-bought cookies, and linked to cancer.
* Red Dye No. 3, found in over 2,000 packaged foods nationwide, including snack cakes, candy and bacon bits. Red No. 3 has been linked to cancer and harm to children’s brains!
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. While Europe has banned these chemicals and more from nearly all processed foods, in some cases, the FDA hasn’t even reviewed the science since the 1970s.
The FDA’s job is to protect Americans from harmful chemicals in food, but they’ve been shirking their responsibilities. If the California bill is signed into law and bans these additives, manufacturers will likely reformulate their products for the entire country! But big candy corporations are working overtime trying to kill this bill.
We need 4,000 of our dedicated supporters from across the country to help us show candy corporations that Americans don’t want toxic chemicals in their food. Can we count on you to show your support by completing our quick survey by midnight tonight?
