Yesterday, 70,000 people marched in in New York City to end fossil fuels.
Organizers were expecting 10,000 people to show up. The final number was nearly 7X.
Our movement to end fossil fuels must become too radical and too big to ignore.
As Alexandria said yesterday, “The popular support for climate is starting to buckle and crack the overall grip that the fossil fuel establishment has had in our politics.”
The cynics want us to think that we’ll never win this fight, that it’s too insurmountable.
But we know that a brighter future for all is worth fighting for and that we can win because of the commitment of every single person who is demanding change. Together we are demanding and fighting for a liveable planet.
