Reagan Dunn, J.D.
Vice Chairman
King County Council
Friends,
My longtime friend, Leslie Marshall Lewallen, is running for Congress down in Southwest Washington. She is an exceptional candidate, and I’m helping her raise some money for her campaign. I’m writing today with two favors:
- Can you attend her upcoming campaign reception in Bellevue? The details of the reception are in the invitation below (Wednesday, September 27th , 5:00 – 7:00pm in downtown Bellevue). I promise you’ll not only enjoy meeting Leslie, but after you do, you’ll be excited to support her campaign. If you are interested in attending contact [email protected] or call/text (253) 241-2420
- If you can’t attend, would you support her race with a donation? She’s raising money ahead of her September 30th fundraising deadline. She really needs our help - Can you pitch in and join me in supporting her?
Here are a couple things I want you to know about Leslie:
- She’s a current Camas City Council member, a mother a four, and a former King County Prosecutor. She grew up in the Pacific Northwest and has always been a strong advocate for her community. She ran and won a seat on the Camas City Council, having no prior political experience. But what she has is a “can do” attitude, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to problem solving.
- Leslie is acutely aware of the issues that really matter in our region – the rising costs of inflation, deadly fentanyl coming through our Southern border and entering our communities, and the homeless crisis that’s made our streets less safe. I have no doubt that once elected, she’ll hit the ground running.
Here are a couple things I want you to know about the District:
- Our 3rd Congressional District was, until 2022, represented by my friend, and fellow Republican Jaime Herrera Beutler for more than a decade.
- It’s a red district, where in 2022, Republican candidate Tiffany Smiley won by 7% and Republican President Donald Trump won by 4%. Yet, the 2022 Republican candidate lost this seat to an unknown Democrat newcomer.
- To win back the district we need to put forth a candidate like Leslie who is a good fit for the region.
The numbers are on Leslie’s side to win this thing. She honestly just needs the resources to do so. So, please, come meet her on September 27th in Bellevue, or make a donation to her campaign.
Thank you so much!!
Sincerely,
Councilmember Reagan Dunn
