It may be news to you, but we hope you'll celebrate it with the SPLC this year! World Gratitude Day, which takes place on September 21, is an opportunity to reflect on the positive impact of gratitude in our lives and to express appreciation for the efforts that bring positive change to our communities. We believe that gratitude has the power to unite us in the fight against hate, discrimination and injustice. Please join us as we celebrate World Gratitude Day by highlighting all the ways your contributions to the SPLC make a difference in the world. For over 50 years, the SPLC has relied on the contributions of community members to fund our work. Even the costliest lawsuits are powered by the generosity of people like you — people who share our vision for a just, equitable world. As a SPLC supporter, you have gone above and beyond to ensure the march for justice continues. On behalf of everyone at the SPLC, we thank you! The SPLC would not exist had it not been for an outpouring of community support in response to the very first lawsuits our founding lawyers filed to fight racism and discrimination in the 1970s. Today is no different — without supporters like you, our work would be impossible. We owe each and every one of our donors and supporters our deepest gratitude. Sincerely, Your friends at the Southern Poverty Law Center |
