We're disappointed. Joe Biden just nominated a Trump-backed official, Elliott Abrams, to a key diplomatic post.

We're talking about a man who called for a Muslim travel ban. We’re talking about a man, who in 1991, pleaded guilty to withholding information from Congress during the Iran-Contra scandal. We’re talking about a man who defended a genocidal Guatemalan dictator and downplayed reports of human rights violations in El Salvador.

Abrams’ questionable record of calling for Muslim travel bans and his general disregard for human rights are just a few of the reasons why this nomination would be disastrous if voted through.
