Hi, it’s Anna Kaplan, the Democratic candidate running for Congress against George Santos.

In the days following the 2022 midterm elections, New Yorkers began asking questions about their newly-elected Congressman.

Slowly but surely, the truth emerged: George Santos ran for Congress on a web of lies -- none of which had any basis in truth. He lied about his religion, where he went to school, where he worked, and made up a fake story about his grandparents surviving the Holocaust.

When people found out, leaders from across the political spectrum called on him to resign.

It’s obvious to anyone watching that Santos should resign. And if he won’t, House Republicans should expel him. But neither will happen because Santos needs a pension and the House Republicans need his vote.
