Hi John,
This Hispanic Heritage Month, we're celebrating our partner organizations' resilience, history, and culture as they advance communities across the country. We are proud to partner with Aliento, Alianza Americas, and the Women’s March Foundation, along with many others, to advance justice and equal rights for all. Read on to learn more about these extraordinary organizations and the folks who make their work possible!
Reyna Montoya of Aliento
Reyna was born in Mexico and migrated to Arizona in 2003. As Founder of Aliento, she leads a team that fights injustice and changes laws. Their most recent victory was Proposition 308, granting in-state tuition for undocumented immigrants and DACA students living in Arizona.
Oscar Chacón of Alianza Americas
Oscar Chacón is a Co-Founder and Executive Director of Alianza Americas, a transnational network of immigrant rights organizations. Oscar’s commitment to El Salvador reminds us that our countries of origin are more than just a reason to celebrate this season; they are pillars of the movement, and our shared responsibility in advancing the immigrant rights movement begins with our roots.
