What’s happening in Alabama is a disgrace, and not enough people are paying attention.
Alabama’s Republican Attorney General said he has the right to prosecute people who help patients travel in order to receive abortion care.
Alabama has one of the strictest abortion bans in the country, and now their top lawyer is attempting to trap patients inside the state — which has a near-total abortion ban — using threats of prosecution.
It’s truly dangerous. AGs should be focused on protecting constituents and their rights, not stripping them away and endangering their health.
