With the new season comes some exciting new news from BYD: our membership has voted to endorse Amber Adler in her run for City Council District 48!

Whether it be securing resources for education and public safety programs or combating hate crimes, Amber has spent years fighting for her Southern Brooklyn community. We're proud to support her run against a far-right Republican incumbent!

Join BYD's new AAPI Caucus on Thurday, September 21st for a young professionals mixer at Fort Hamilton Distillery!
Meet up to enjoy drinks and discuss ways to empower young AAPI voices in Brooklyn. We'll chat about how to ensure that AAPI communities are civically engaged, and what we can do to provide a pipeline for young AAPI folks to get active and run for office. Plus, we'll be joined by Council Member Shahana Hanif!

BYD endorsed Council Member Justin Brannan ([link removed]) in his run for Council District 47 because he's a proud Democrat who shares our values. Now, he needs our support.
