The fix was in from the beginning, Friend.
Little Governor Dan Patrick was supposed to serve as an impartial judge throughout the Impeachment Trial of Ken Paxton. But in true Texas Republican fashion, months before the impeachment trial process even began, Ken Paxton’s cronies bought the Texas Senate from Dan Patrick for $3 million in campaign cash.
And to drive the point home, mere moments after Texas Republicans acquitted Paxton on Saturday, Patrick launched into a corruption-fueled diatribe where he admitted to rigging the process and conducting the trial with a bias benefitting his campaign donor.
And, all the while, twice-impeached Donald Trump worked publicly and behind the scenes to make sure weak Republicans in the Senate felt the pressure of a primary election threat.
Birds of a feather commit crimes together.

Last week, the Texas Democratic Party launched Lone Star Rising [[link removed]] -- a program to recruit, train, and support local Democratic candidates and county parties, ensuring that every Texan feels represented by their elected officials. We are laser-focused on recruiting candidates and county party chairs across the state -- especially in the Senate and House Districts listed above.
We’re building infrastructure to ensure that every Texas voter in every corner of our state has a Democrat on their ballot, so they are not stuck with weak and feckless Republicans willing to sell their souls and their votes to avoid a primary opponent. This type of program will only be successful with the generous support of dedicated Democrats like you, Friend . So I’m asking you, will you chip in $7 now to help fund Lone Star Rising and elect more Democrats across Texas? [[link removed]]
