Navy hosting open house regarding PFAS sampling near Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor

The Navy is requesting permission to sample drinking water obtained from drinking water wells within a sampling area near Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor for certain per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances, commonly known as PFAS. Property owners in the sampling area received a letter and/or post card.

On Sept. 20, 2023, from 12-2 p.m. and 5-7 p.m., the Navy is hosting an open house public meeting with partnering agencies to present information about this drinking water sampling, and to interact with the community to address questions or concerns.
