Mobilizing tribal communities across Northeast Arizona in 2024 will be vital to re-electing President Biden and flipping our state legislature blue.
Hey there — I’m Loren, the Director of Campaigns and Engagement for the Northeast Arizona Democrats working to organize voters across Northern Arizona and mobilize native communities to get out and vote.
We’re a Native led grassroots organization that came together in 2018 to ensure that native voices were represented at the table and at the ballot box. We’ve steadily increased voter participation in Native communities since then and have empowered tribal voters to advocate for meaningful and impactful policy change.
Over the next few weeks, our team is prioritizing hiring local organizers who have experience living and working in the communities they’re organizing in. We’ll need to ensure organizers aren’t just well resourced, but highly skilled, so that they can really meet voters where they’re at.
Our work goes beyond Election Day. Whether it’s making sure students have the school supplies they need to start the year off on the right foot, or distributing vital winter weather supplies to the Navajo Nation and Hopi — reaching our most vulnerable neighbors through community service is at the heart of the work we do.
