Dear Friend,
I'm writing to let you know only three days remain until World Alzheimer's Day. This means there are also only three days remaining for you to make 2X the difference during our $175,000 World Alzheimer's Day Match Challenge.
Thanks to the support of people like you, the Alzheimer's Association has been empowered to invest more than $360 million in over 1,000 best of field projects in 53 countries, spanning six continents. We fund investigations across the spectrum of dementia science, which is helping:
|
Advance our understanding of Alzheimer's disease and all other dementia. |
|
Identify new treatment strategies. |
|
Improve care and support for people living with dementia and their families. |
|
Further our knowledge of brain health and disease prevention. |
Help provide care and support and fund urgently needed research with your gift today. |

Since World Alzheimer's Day was first observed more than a decade ago, we've made great strides toward our vision of a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has now approved treatments that reduce cognitive and functional decline for those living with early Alzheimer's. We're fighting to ensure access for everyone who could benefit from these treatments — and your support is crucial.
Friend, these promising breakthrough drugs are still out of reach for many who need them. Many people living with Alzheimer's transition daily to a more advanced stage of the disease where they are no longer eligible for existing treatments.
We need to continue pushing our vital work forward until everyone living with this disease — at any stage — can get the treatment and care and support they need. And what better time to show your support than World Alzheimer's Day, while your impact on this fight can be DOUBLED?
Two people committed to this fight are long-time supporters and Alzheimer's Association Zenith Society members Dick and Marianne Kipper. They've pledged an incredible matching gift of $175,000 to further our vital work. Their gift will help fund Alzheimer's disease research, while your donation can be matched to provide care and support and accelerate research.
In recognition of World Alzheimer's Day, every donation until September 21 — up to a total of $175,000 — can be matched 2X. But to achieve this challenge, we need to raise the same amount by the deadline.
When you double your impact by giving before the deadline, you'll help advance our mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
Friend, your support during our $175,000 World Alzheimer's Day Match Challenge can help so many impacted by Alzheimer's, and your gift can have TWICE the impact on our efforts to provide critical care and support and advance research, including:
- Expanding access to quality care for those who require it and broadening overall support to those living with the disease.
- Increasing our investment in research to accelerate risk reduction and more effective treatment for Alzheimer's and all other dementia.
- Securing significant advances in our state and federal policy priorities to improve the lives of those living with dementia, as well as their caregivers.
- Strengthening diversity, equity and inclusion by addressing barriers that may interfere with members of diverse communities from receiving Alzheimer's education, care and support.
World Alzheimer's Day is a day of awareness and action. It's a day we can spend celebrating the discoveries made and move forward to provide care and support and advance research. All of this is made possible with your first gift today. Thank you in advance for joining in this important fight.
Gratefully,
Michael Reich
Chief Marketing Officer
P.S. When you stand with us in the fight against Alzheimer's, you make a meaningful difference in the lives of millions of Americans affected by this disease. Please make your first gift today while you can make 2X the impact.
