I was proud to join Rep. Dan Goldman for a forum on hate crimes and violence. View in browser

John,

Last week, I was proud to participate in a discussion hosted by Rep. Dan Goldman that focused on hate crimes and violence, more specifically antisemitism and Asian hate. You may remember Rep. Goldman during Trump’s first impeachment trial—he was a take-no-prisoners FORCE to be reckoned with!

Across the country, hate crimes and hate speech (which is more prevalent on nearly every social media platform) have steadily been on the rise. As a candidate for President and then as President of the United States, Trump openly gave white supremacists and white nationalists a safe haven to promote their reprehensible views.

Trump’s remarks after a woman was murdered protesting a Neo-Nazi rally in Charlottesville, Virginia (”...there were very fine people—on both sides”) made it crystal clear that he sympathized with white supremacists, if not completely shared their views.

And since then, Trump and the MAGA base of the GOP, including my opponent Jim Jordan, have welcomed racists, white supremacists, and anti-Semitic bigots with open arms. Jordan openly supports domestic terrorists that launched violent riots and tried to subvert our free and fair election.

There is no place for the hatred and tolerance that Jim Jordan encourages. And that’s why I’m proud to include policy in my campaign platform around addressing hate crimes, increasing security online, and fighting domestic terrorism.

This work may not sound very sexy, but it is absolutely vital for our security and our democracy. We can’t let dangerous MAGA bigots like Jim Jordan destroy our country. That’s why I am working around the clock to defeat Jim Jordan—and why I would so appreciate your support right now, even just $10 would be a HUGE help:
