Administrative Law Judge Hiring Update |

Please join us in welcoming OAH's new Administrative Law Judges, Megan J. McKenzie and Joseph C. Meyer.
Both judges will join OAH on October 4, 2023, and will be based at our St. Paul office.
Judge McKenzie
Judge McKenzie earned a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
Judge McKenzie is currently an Assistant Attorney General with the Minnesota Attorney General's Office. Since 2018, she has represented Minnesota state agencies in litigation and administrative proceedings and assisted agencies with administrative rulemaking.
Prior to joining the Attorney General's office, she was an Associate Attorney with Robins Kaplan, Hall Law, and Dorsey & Whitney, as well as an Adjunct Professor teaching appellate writing at the University of St. Thomas School of Law.
Judge McKenzie is known for her ability to distill and master complex regulatory matters, practical approach to the law, and professionalism.
Outside of the office, Judge McKenzie enjoys hockey, live music, and being at the lake.

Judge Meyer
Judge Meyer earned a B.A and an M.B.A. from the University of Minnesota, and a J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School.
Since 2015, Judge Meyer has served at the Minnesota Attorney General's Office, first as an Assistant Attorney General in the Residential Utilities and Antitrust Division, and then as Manager of the Residential Utilities Division. Since 2020, he has also served as a Judge Advocate in the United States Army Reserve. Prior to joining the Attorney General's Office, he was a Law Clerk in the Juvenile Prosecution and Special Litigation Divisions of the Hennepin County Attorney's Office, and for the Honorable Donna K. Dixon in Minnesota's Ninth Judicial District.
Judge Meyer is known for his collaborative approach to litigation, commitment to improving the profession, and a passion for public service.
Outside of the office, Judge Meyer enjoys playing hockey, grilling, running, and spending time with his family.
