Special student offer: Join CND for free. Offer valid between 18th-29th September.

Youth & Student CND membership offer, 18-29 September?

?

There are countless challenges facing our education system and young people today have to contend with crumbling schools, rising tuition fees, skyrocketing accommodation and living costs - only to enter an evermore challenging job market post-graduation. ?205 billion is being spent on Britain's nuclear weapons. That's ?205 billion that could be spent on making schools safe, educational opportunities more affordable, and creating jobs that save the planet rather than threaten its destruction.?

For a limited time only, CND is offering a free membership trial* for those in full-time education or aged 25 and under. This is a great opportunity for younger peacemakers to get involved with CND, gain experience of being part of a national campaigning organisation, and help contribute to the future direction of the movement.?

?

If you are unable to take up this offer, please share this offer with students or young people you may know.?

?

*Free membership offer is applicable to those 25 years and under or full-time students who sign up between September 18th-29th. Applies only to new members and for a duration of six months.

Wages not Weapons: Join CND at the Tory party conference 2023

?

In just under two weeks time, Tory party members and MPs will descend on Manchester for their annual conference. After more than a decade in power, the Conservative government has lurched from crisis to crisis, leaving millions of people worried about the cost of living and the growing climate emergency. Meanwhile, successive prime ministers have made billions of pounds available for weapons and war - including ?9 billion extra for nuclear weapons over the next five years - all while our public services continue to deteriorate.?

?

In opposition to these warped spending priorities, CND will be there to spread our Wages not Weapons campaign, joining many more organisations at The People's Assembly national demonstration taking place outside the conference.

?

We're calling on supporters to join our peace bloc on the day and help spread the message that money for weapons is a political choice that would be better spent on fixing our public services, tackling the climate emergency, and promoting a foreign policy based on dialogue and cooperation.?

  • Sunday, 1 October
  • Assemble on Oxford Road, Manchester from 12 noon

Coaches to and from the demonstration are being arranged by People's Assembly groups across the country. Secure your space here. For other queries, contact [email protected]
