First, Donald Trump attacked our 14th Amendment lawsuit, calling us “slime balls” and “bad radical left people.”

Now, we’re being attacked by one of his allies: Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene.

During an Oversight Committee meeting, she claimed that CREW was “interfering in the 2024 election” and that our lawsuit was “all about politics.”

That couldn’t be further from the truth. This lawsuit is about the Constitution and protecting our democracy.

But then, she also added one more remark about our lawsuit:

“They’re trying to use January 6th as the reason for filing lawsuits against President Trump in various states arguing he violated the 14th Amendment and is supposedly guilty of some so called insurrection that never was and therefore would be ineligible to run for office.”
