[PETITION]
J Street

Friends,

With Prime Minister Netanyahu in the United States this week for the first time since the election of his extreme-right government, now is the time for our community to speak out in defense of our shared democratic values.

As well as supporting protests in California, New York and across the country, J Street is making a major push on Capitol Hill to build more support for the Israel Democracy Resolution – which now has close to 70 Democratic co-sponsors in the House.

The Resolution is a short, powerful statement of support for the pro-democracy movement and our shared democratic values.

Friends: Could you sign our petition to Congress in support of the Israel Democracy Resolution? Click here to read the resolution and sign the petition.

Together, we see the Netanyahu government’s anti-democratic agenda for what it is: An effort to circumvent the courts to evade accountability, entrench political power and supercharge settlements, annexation and human rights violations in the West Bank.

Hundreds of thousands of pro-democracy protesters in Israel have been on the streets for months, and we need to have their backs.

This resolution is a powerful statement of support to the protest movement; a clear message to the Netanyahu government that their actions are unacceptable; and a message to the White House that they should not back down in defense of democratic institutions and values.

Please consider adding your name to tell Congress to support this critical resolution.

Together, we’re standing up for Israel’s founding values of justice, equality, democracy and peace.

Yours,

Hannah Morris
Director of Government Affairs, J Street
