*DFI Hires New Financial Education & Outreach Coordinator*

DFI?s communications team is excited to announce Nathan Spiecker as our new financial education and outreach coordinator.

Nathan is passionate about community development and has extensive experience working with Spanish speaking populations. During his interview, he expressed his excitement about continuing to grow DFI?s Spanish outreach program. His most recent work took him to Central America where he worked with populations in need. We are excited to have him join our team!?

Each month, the State Treasurer?s Financial Education Coordinator hosts three different free workshops focused on budgeting, credit & debt, and consumer cautions.


* The budgeting workshop teaches how to set financial goals and create a budgeting plan.
* The credit & debt workshop details how to build and improve your credit history and make a debt payoff plan.
* The consumer cautions workshop teaches techniques to start budgeting conversations with your family and avoid identity theft.
