In Rosh Hashanah message, Trump says US Jews voted "to destroy America and Israel"
The disgraced ex-president didn't even bother to hide his naked white supremacy in a High Holy Days message, accusing American Jews who support President Biden — meaning the overwhelming majority of them — of wanting to "destroy the country." The message was accompanied by a crude flyer that slammed liberal Jews for being "sheep" and believing "false narratives." It cannot be understated how dangerous this kind of rhetoric can be, especially in a time when American neo-Nazis openly march in the streets and commit anti-Semitic massacres inspired by Trump's rhetoric.

Trump says it was his decision to describe the 2020 election as "rigged"
“You know who I listen to? Myself,” Trump said during his meandering, grievance-filled NBC interview. Uh, yeah, Donnie. We know.

McCarthy overlooks FATAL FLAW in his impeachment inquiry against Biden

Anti-abortion zealot attorney general of Indiana sues hospital system over privacy of Ohio girl who traveled for abortion
Republican Attorney General Todd Rokita launched his latest legal attack against Dr. Caitlin Bernard, this time feigning concern for the privacy rights of the 10-year-old Ohio rape victim who traveled to Indiana to receive critical abortion care that had been denied her in her home state. It would be nice if Rokita and his fellow Republican goons could muster the same concern for, you know, the PHYSICAL and EMOTIONAL well-being of child rape victims, but clearly that's asking far too much of them.

Trump rips DeSantis, calls Florida's six-week abortion ban "a terrible mistake"
The serial sex pest said the quiet part out loud while taking potshots at Ron DeSantis and Florida's recently enacted abortion ban during a dumpster fire interview on NBC's Meet the Press. When repeatedly asked if he would sign a federal abortion ban at 15 weeks, Trump equivocated, "It could be state or it could be federal, I don't frankly care." It's true. Frankly, he doesn't care. What Trump DOES care about is using evangelical voters yet again to reclaim the White House in 2024. The man is utterly devoid of anything resembling actual values and is willing to use literally anyone to serve a singular purpose — advancing his own self-interest.

Tim Scott swears he’s really dating "lovely Christian girl"
"I'm dating a lovely Christian girl," the 57-year-old grown man said at the Faith and Freedom Coalition town hall in Iowa. The unmarried South Carolina Republican then quoted the book of Proverbs, stating, “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord,” before kneeling and asking the crowd to pray for him. Nope. Not weird at all. You say she lives in Canada?
Lauren Boebert apologizes for "maybe overly animated" behavior at theater
Lauren Boebert has issued a second apology for her now infamous theater date which saw her get ejected from watching a "Beetlejuice: The Musical" performance after she openly vaped in the audience, groped her companion, and was graphically felt up in kind — in the presence of underage theater-goers, for all those worried about the grooming epidemic apparently sweeping across America. The “take your children to church, not drag bars" congresswoman initially blamed her "public and difficult divorce" for her behavior before pivoting to just being "overly animated" and "a little too eccentric." Uh, the word you're actually looking for his "hypocrite," Lauren.
Mitt Romney and Mike Pence clash in incredibly milquetoast squabble
Retiring Sen. Mitt Romney had very not-pleasant words for former Vice President and erstwhile Trump lapdog Mike Pence, who has vainly tried to distance himself from his former boss following the failed insurrection on Jan. 6, 2021. Romney said no one had been “more loyal, more willing to smile when he saw absurdities, more willing to ascribe God’s will to things that were ungodly than Mike Pence." Shots fired! Pence responded, "Look, Mitt Romney has no idea what I was doing in the administration. He can go off into retirement." Language, gentlemen!
Parkland dad blasts Trump’s "killing babies after birth" lie
Responding to the disgraced ex-president's preposterous claim that Democrats support an abortion policy that allows doctors to "kill the baby after birth," gun violence prevention advocate Fred Guttenberg tweeted, “Beyond this being a truly dumb lie, here are facts. My baby was killed after birth because of gun violence. Republicans, by blocking gun violence prevention, apparently support killing babies after birth.”
Marine Corps searching for lost F-35 after pilot ejects in South Carolina
The US Marine Corps is currently searching for an $80 million F-35 in South Carolina after its pilot ejected from the plane earlier today, following an unspecified “mishap" during a training exercise. The pilot reportedly put the plane on autopilot before safely bailing out. Also — and we aren't making this up — government officials posted a phone number folks can call should they, you know, happen to come across the unmanned war machine. Far be it from us to tell the US Marine Corps how to handle their business, but for $80 million you think they could've thrown in an Apple AirTag or something.
Tens of thousands march in NYC to demand end to fossil fuels ahead of UN climate summit
An estimated 75,000 protesters gathered in New York City to compel world leaders — chief among them President Biden — to finally end the use of fossil fuels and try once again to curb catastrophic climate change primarily caused by burning coal, oil, and natural gas. Nearly one-third of the world’s planned drilling for oil and gas between now and 2050 is by US interests, environmental activists calculate. Fun fact: over the past 100 years, the United States has put more heat-trapping carbon dioxide in the atmosphere than any other country, though China now emits more carbon pollution on an annual basis.
