I wish more than anything that I didn’t have to continue talking about one Senator’s complete disregard for our national security, but alas, here we are again.

Sen. Tommy Tuberville’s blockade of military appointments continues to leave our military in a vulnerable position. According to America’s military leaders, his actions are actively aiding our adversaries. It is unimaginable to me that an individual has put their political gimmicks over the interests of our entire country. Because of his actions, the Pentagon and our nation's service secretaries have been forced to spend their valuable time advocating for Tuberville to end his blockade. This move takes away the Pentagon’s valuable time and energy — when it should be focused on addressing threats to our national security.

I will continue to pressure Sen. Tuberville to end his dangerous blockade. As a former CIA officer, I know how important every facet of our national security apparatus is. I won’t stand for this disregard for our servicemembers.

I have one priority: serving the people of Virginia. I will never let politics get in the way of my oath to serve. If you believe America deserves leaders who prioritize our national security, then I hope you will contribute today to my campaign, so I can continue serving Virginia and protecting our nation.
