John, today is Constitution Day! Today commemorates the signing of the United States Constitution. And we know the best way to celebrate…

By holding insurrectionists like Donald Trump accountable to the Constitution.

CREW recently filed a lawsuit in Colorado to keep Donald Trump off the ballot in the 2024 presidential election, based on the eligibility requirements laid out in the 14th Amendment.

Article 2, Section 1, Clause 5 lists three qualifications for the presidency: the president must be at least 35 years of age, be a natural born citizen and must have lived in the United States for at least 14 years. And we all know you can’t run for president if you’ve already served two terms.

But there’s also another requirement for *all* office holders in Section 3 of the 14th Amendment — barring anyone from office who has “engaged in insurrection.”

In the wake of the Civil War, the framers of the 14th Amendment’s Disqualification Clause understood we needed to make sure those who attacked our democracy would not then be put in charge of it. That's why we're enforcing it against Donald Trump.

When we say Donald Trump is disqualified from office for inciting insurrection, we are not going out on a limb. There's plenty of public evidence, including bipartisan votes in the House and Senate and a finding by the January 6th Select Committee.

We’ve assembled plaintiffs, evidence and witnesses and we're ready to make our case – but we need your support to continue this important fight.

We’re relying on our grassroots supporters to help us see this fight through to the very end. Click here to make a donation to CREW today to help us enforce the Constitution →
