Palmetto State Democrats are up next in line to make our voices heard in this process -- and I’m putting my support behind Joe Biden because he’s spent his entire life taking on the fights that affect South Carolinians every day.

He took on the NRA and won twice. He played a key role in helping President Obama pass the Affordable Care Act. And he wrote and passed the Violence Against Women Act -- the landmark legislation that helped lead to a 60% decline in domestic violence in this country.

But it’s not just his accomplishments that set Joe Biden apart -- it’s also his heart. He’s always led with compassion and empathy, something that our country needs desperately in this moment.

We saw that best during the eight years he spent working alongside President Obama as his Vice President.
