Team,
On Thursday, Wisconsin Senate Republicans voted to fire Wisconsin Elections Commission administrator Meagan Wolfe, the nonpartisan leader of the state's elections agency.
Since the 2020 election, Meagan Wolfe has been under attack by right-wing conspiracists accusing her of rigging the election in favor of President Biden.
These outrageous and unfounded claims have caused Meagan to be a victim of harassment for years. And since Wolfe would not succumb to political pressure by the GOP, now they have unlawfully attempted to fire her instead.
The GOP attempting to fire Megan is a consequence of them not getting their preferred outcome during elections.
Democrats are actively fighting this unlawful firing, but Republicans are going to stop at nothing to attack and undermine our democracy. They want to fan the flames of Trump's false claims that the election was stolen.
It is an overt abuse of power that cannot stand.
It’s no secret that Wisconsin could be the decisive state in 2024. So the GOP will do everything they can to try to rig it in their favor.
But we cannot continue to let them attack our democracy. We must fight to take back the legislative majority in Wisconsin to stop the GOP from abusing its power and attempting to overrule the will of Wisconsin voters. Democrats are doing all they can to protect our democratic process but need our support on the ground.
