House Republicans Open Formal Impeachment Inquiry Into President Biden
Since January, House Republicans have uncovered credible allegations regarding President Biden's conduct, leading House Speaker Kevin McCarthy to open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Biden. Below are four key facts we know so far:
- President Biden repeatedly lied to the American people when he claimed he never discussed any business with his son, Hunter Biden.
- President Biden was a critical player in selling ‘the brand’ to Hunter’s foreign business partners and interacted with his son’s business associates 20 times, as Devon Archer, Hunter’s business partner, testified.
- The Biden family made millions of dollars as a result of Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings. Bank records show more than $20 million in payments were directed to Biden family members and associates through numerous shell companies.
- The Biden family has been offered special treatment by the Biden administration – treatment they would not otherwise receive if they were not related to the President.
House Republicans promised to faithfully fulfill our oversight responsibilities and ensure our government is accountable to the American people. Moving to an impeachment inquiry provides the House more tools and stronger standing to continue uncovering the facts surrounding President Biden's potential abuse of public office for his family's financial gain. I support this decision to ensure all Americans are equipped with the truth surrounding President Biden’s knowledge of his son’s corrupt influence peddling schemes.
