Today, I want to talk about The Elephant in Your Inbox. That's right. The sponsored email that I sent out this past week about gas masks.

We've reached the point that we have been so thoroughly defunded that we have had to look to other ways to make enough money to keep the website afloat. Sponsored emails pay well and help us to keep the lights on at The Organic Prepper. There will probably be a couple of these per week going forward. I know that some people strongly objected to this, but I have payroll to meet and servers to pay for.

Here's what I can do:

I will be sure to make it more clear near the top of the message that it's sponsored with the word in italics.

Here's what I can't do:

I don't get editorial control over someone else's sales page. What exists there is the responsibility of the advertiser.

All this being said the information being given is often very interesting and the products being promoted have a lot of satisfied customers.

It certainly helps me out (at no cost to you) if you give the links a click and the ads a read or listen, depending on the format. And you just may find that some of these products are extremely worthwhile and enjoy them.

I hope you'll give all this a shot and not be angry about it because it's a way you can support The OP. We're doing our level best to stay afloat, and really, no further cuts in our expenditures can be made without security risks.

Thank you so much for your trust and support over the years. Without you, we would've been out of business three years ago when the financial attacks began. It's been a brutal fight, but seeing our thriving comments section after every article makes it all worthwhile.
