We need to talk about partisan gerrymandering.
For those who are unfamiliar, this is when politicians redraw a voting map to only include constituents of their own party so they can win elections before the voting even starts.
And Republicans have been shamelessly gerrymandering for years – going so far as to exclude minority neighborhoods entirely from their districts.
So today. We are asking 5,000 supporters to add their name to our petition telling Congress to put an end to unfair, Republican gerrymandering! >>
Voters should choose their leaders – not the other way around!
And at a time when our democratic institutions are under attack, we must do everything we can to strengthen our democracy, not create loopholes and cheat sheets.
Every cycle it seems there are dozens of court cases involving Republicans carving into voting maps to silence Democrats, minorities, and working families.
Enough is enough: It is time to send a message to Congress that partisan gerrymandering is not okay!
