With the election around the corner, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on why I got into this race and what we’re fighting for in CA-08. There are a number of crucially important issues that are on the ballot.

Here are just a few of the issues that are extremely important to me, and reflect the things I’m fighting for in this campaign:

» Defending and expanding health access for all -- especially our most vulnerable
» Supporting workers by guaranteeing fair and equitable wages
» Tackling climate change head on, and protecting our district’s precious landscapes
» Decreasing the power of corporate interests who have a stranglehold on our political process

We can bring these changes to our community -- and to our country. But not if we elect another Trump lackey to Congress. I’m ready to stand up for this community and our values, but it’s going to take all of us pitching in to help win this competitive race.
