This is all because MAGA extremists like Marjorie Taylor Greene have threatened to shut down the federal government if they don't get a chance to impeach the president.

Congress has until September 30 to pass a temporary funding bill and prevent a government shutdown. MAGA Republicans in the House, however, are setting the stage for a disastrous government shutdown with their far-right demands. These include:

Passing a hateful immigration bill.
Targeting the Justice Department and FBI for political purposes.
Ending policies they label as "cancerous woke" in the Pentagon, a vague term that could mean anything they disagree with.

This is not just any shutdown; it's a MAGA Shutdown. But it’s not all Republicans pushing this reckless agenda. Senate Republicans are ready to work collaboratively. It's a subset of House Republicans, the very ones who cut a deal with Biden earlier this year on the debt limit, who are now betraying that agreement and demanding a shutdown.

But that's not all. Some of these far-right extremists are pressuring McCarthy into initiating impeachment actions against Biden. Their justification? Retribution for the two previous impeachments of Donald Trump. Despite multiple Congressional inquiries into Biden, they have failed to produce any substantial evidence of wrongdoing. And then you have Marjorie Taylor Greene, who's taken it a step further by declaring she will not vote for any funding bill unless the House begins impeaching Joe Biden.

MAGA Republicans have made their intentions crystal clear: they are willing to force a costly shutdown to impose their extremist agenda on the nation. By setting conditions they know will never receive bipartisan support, they are completely disregarding the people they are supposed to serve.
