This summer, while you feel the high costs of heating fuel and electricity, if
you’re like me, you’re already thinking ahead to home heating costs for the
coming winter.

The simple fact is, America has enough energy resources to relieve soaring
energy prices, but the heavy-handed regulations from the federal government
prevent new energy development projects that would give our economy and
citizens relief.

My name is Marc Marie and I’m a regulatory policy fellow here at Americans for
Prosperity.

My team and I recently completed a series of reports highlighting 30 energy
projects across 6 states that have been in development for years, but blocked

We must shine a spotlight. And we’re just getting started.

President Biden’s crusade against affordable energy has only made the problem
worse. Oil and gas prices are on the rise, home energy prices are through the
roof, and Americans are paying more for less. This study reveals project after
project bogged down in permitting delays that would lower Americans’ energy
bills if they were built. Some projects have been cancelled and many more are
in limbo. Government permission slips should not be a barrier to lower energy
prices.

Americans are counting on Congress to end the top-down policies that are
stifling production and make real permitting reforms to unleash our country’s
energy resources.
